#6 Foley sounds

When it comes to filming videos, trying to get those specific sounds like footsteps in your video are hard to be loud enough. Foley sound is used to enhance those sounds. In films and movies they use this to enhance the realism of the sounds. Foley sounds are used post production to create these sounds.

Foley sounds can include anything from footsteps to doors, glass breaking, chewing, and more. When it comes to foley sounds it is used to make the scenes more immense. Foley sounds are created by having a person record themselves mimicking the actual sounds.

This video shows examples how to create sounds in a scene by using different objects. Different objects are used to make certain sounds. The tapping of the metal scissors makes a clock ticking sounds, while the tugging of a cloth creates a heartbeat sound. The different objects imitate the sounds in the film.

I plan to use this in my film to make some of the sounds in my video. I want to use the sounds to make you able to hear the sounds in more focused scenes. The added sounds are there to enhance the noises making it a bigger part of the scene. An example of where I can use this in a film is when my actor is going through boxes to look at film.
