#7 diegetic sound

When it comes to films diegetic sound is all around. Diegetic sound is the sounds that can be heard by the characters and audience. Diegetic sound is the sound that comes from that film's world. Plenty of times in films where you will see examples of diegetic sound. You can see it for example when characters are talking, music playing on a radio, even sounds of rain.

Diegetic sound is what makes a story "authentic". The use of diegetic sound makes for a "sense of realism for the audience". Unlike non-diegetic sound the sound that is presented to where the characters can also hear it makes the film more realistic and benefits the story more rather than just the audience.

When it comes to having diegetic sound in my film I want to have a few specific uses of it. I want to have music in the background, like a radio or tv having some nice music, it will help the romantic setting with calm, soft music. I will have sounds of a character going through stuff looking for something, because it adds to the realism of the scene. Adding small details like these makes my film have more realism.
