#17 lighting

 Lighting is another way to create a certain mood and establish atmosphere. The use of artificial lighting and natural light help with creating moods and atmosphere. Lighting can influence perceptions of character and place. It can direct the audience's attention in a scene. Natural lighting is lighting that occurs naturally. Artificial lighting is man-made. 

Specific lighting is used when it comes to different genres. Since my film is working with the romance genre I want to use the common conventions of lighting. High-key and low-key lighting are used in romance films to present joy, happiness or more of a down mood. I want to use high-key lighting when it comes to the happy scenes that were playing. Natural lighting is used to give off joy and happiness so for the memories of the couples it will be more realistic. Since the romance genre uses more warm and cozy lighting to make the scenes feel more intimate and have comfort. Using artificial lighting will help achieve this goal.
